The Apollo Simulation Centre (ASC) is a Post Graduate teaching and training institute and is based out of the Apollo Vanagaram campus. What is ASC?
ASC is a state-of-the-art building with the latest Simulation equipments spanning all the departments offering PG training. What is the need for a high fidelity simulation centre?
The Government of India mandates simulation based training in all undergraduate programs. It is only prudent that post graduate and super speciality doctors have a preemptive knowledge of difficult clinical situations before treating real patients.

The cutting-edge technology used in the realistic simulation of anatomical details, allows learners to acquire skills in a true -to-life condition, without causing harm to the patient, on adult, paediatric and obstetric mannequins. Ultra Sound Simulator
The innovative ultrasound simulator enables learners to correlate the scanned image simultaneously with the internal anatomy for better proficiency. The sections of anatomy can be demonstrated in a three- dimensional view to enhance the understanding of learners. The simulator is also equipped with modules for ultrasound guided interventions.
Endo-Laparoscopy Simulator
The endo-laparoscopy simulators are equipped with up-to-date technology to help learners become confident and adept at hand-eye coordination and equipment dexterity. Basic and advanced procedures in laparoscopy, bronchoscopy, hysteroscopy and endoscopy can be learnt and updated using the high-tech instruments.
Endo-Vascular Simulator
The vascular intervention simulator is the latest and the first of its kind in Asia, and has provision for training in intricate vascular abnormalities. Real patient images can be incorporated and training undertaken before a complex procedure is performed on the patient.
High-Fidelity Scenario based simulators
The futuristic high fidelity mannequins in customizable simulation environments can help mimic real life scenarios. Sudden emergencies and complications in critical care, obstetrics and pediatrics can be simulated in these lifelike mannequins enabling learners to respond and experience the implications of their decisions. The feedback and debriefing that follows the scenarios will be aimed at identifying human factors that lead to errors and will help in empowering learners to handle crisis situations in a more composed and evidence-based manner. This kind of immersive learning helps in crisis resource management, improves decision making, boosts communication skills and encourages ideal team behaviour.
