Dr. Narayan holds an MD in Radiotherapy from N.S.C.B Medical College, Jabalpur, and a DNB in Radiotherapy from the National Board of Examinations in New Delhi, completing his postgraduate qualifications in 2000 and 2002, respectively. Fluent in English, Hindi, Telugu, and Bengali, he effectively communicates with a diverse patient population.

    §  June 2004 to Sep 2005 worked as Chief of Radiation Oncology in International Cancer Center, Bhimavaram West Godavari District Andhra Pradesh.

    §  Sep 2005 to Dec 2014: Worked as Chief of Radiation Oncology at Lions District 324-C1 cancer treatment and research center, Seethammadhara, Visakhapatnam.

    Special Interests

    Have a keen interest in developing and planning new radiation oncology facilities including the selection and freezing of equipment specifications, facility & infrastructure planning, commissioning of radiotherapy machines and implementation of radiotherapy clinical programmes and outlining the process of accreditation needed for NABH etc.
     
    The specific work done in this field till date is:
     
    1. Active involvement in decommissioning of High energy Linear accelerator with subsequent room redesigning and commissioning of state-of-the-art linear accelerator “True Beam” and HDR brachytherapy unit Gammamed iX plus brachytherapy and subsequent clinical starting of the radiation facility. Was actively involved for preparation of NABH for SHCO for Royal Cancer Hospital, Kanpur in the year 2015-2016
     
    2. Installation and commissioning of telecobalt facility at ICC, Bhimavaram, WG Dist. (A.P.) in the year 2004-05
     
    3. Participation in Cobalt source change procedure, designing and implementation of separate HDR bunker and brachytherapy facility at Lions Cancer Hospital, Vizag 2005 to 2014
