Overview
Prof. Dr. Venkat Ramakrishnan is an internationally renowned Plastic and Breast Reconstructive Surgeon with over four decades of distinguished experience. He is internationally recognised for his work in breast reconstruction, particularly using DIEP (Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator) and TUG (Transverse Upper Gracilis) flaps. To date, he has performed over 1,500 microsurgical reconstructions with outstanding clinical outcomes. His experience in cosmetic plastic surgery dates back to 1987.
His subspecialties include reconstructive and cosmetic breast surgery, aesthetic facial surgery, lipo-sculpting, and body contouring procedures. He has a special focus on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, and microsurgical reconstruction forms a significant part of his NHS practice as Consultant Plastic Surgeon at a leading hospital in Essex, UK.
Prof. Ramakrishnan is actively involved in academic and professional leadership. He has also published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and has delivered numerous keynote addresses and presentations at major international conferences.
